Release notes
What changed in each Quest 3 mixed-reality app. Updated September 26, 2026.
Pip & Pebble v0.1
- Original black-and-white stylized beagle companion, Pip, in passthrough. Fetch a thrown ball, send Pip to a floor or reachable furniture surface, pet his head, or press A for a spin trick.
- Foldout canvas nook with teal awning, three original spot palettes, recorded CC0 dog bark, and room scan status/Spatial Data permission flow. Fallback floor and props are virtual when room data is unavailable.
- Controller and pinch-based hand interactions. Graphics quality LOW/MED/HIGH/EXTRA HIGH persists. Hand throwing lacks velocity; use controllers for fetch. Procedural animation and simple waypoints, not photoreal AI. Built and signed, not tested on a Quest headset.
MR Arcade v0.4
- 20 compact games in passthrough, including Puppy Pal, Drone Defense, Wall Pinball and Room Golf.
- Added a second page of 10 modes, room-outline overlays, hub visuals and faster Drone Defense waves.
- Room Setup now reports scan status and permission or scene-data problems instead of failing silently. Added selectable dog types and a recorded bark for Puppy Pal. These fixes are built but not yet confirmed on Wade's headset.
Sand Garden v0.2
- Redone sand mechanics with hand-pushable ball, block and truck, plus a grabbable shovel for scoop and pour.
- Includes sculpting, castle mold, water, rake and reset tools. Sand is a simulation in a bounded tray, not per-grain physics.
- Installs over v0.1. This build has not been tested on the headset yet.
Candy Cane Lane v0.2
- Rebuilt the board mechanics around the classic 1984 track: 134 spaces after START, six landmark destinations, two exact-landing shortcuts, three color-gated hold spaces, and a 64-card deck with single colors, double colors and six picture cards. Picture cards may move backward; reaching or passing the last purple wins.
- Fresh coral, iris, honey, lagoon, tangerine and mint palette, an original geometric board route and renamed landmarks. No original board scan or character art is embedded. Play against GINGER with hand tracking or controllers; this is not four-player local multiplayer.
- Signed to install over v0.1 with settings intact. Native build and rules were checked locally; Quest visuals and gameplay still need a headset test.
Room Bots v0.2
- Fixed: robots no longer fold back into walls and furniture every ~10 seconds - the room now only rebuilds when the scan actually changes, and wake/command state carries over.
- Two new robot types: BRUISER (couches, beds and storage become slow heavy guards with piston legs, stomp sounds and a reactor grill) and DRONE (lamps, plants and screens launch glossy hover bots with a cyclops eye, spinning rotors and a light trail).
- New interactions: hold the trigger on an awake robot to call it over (or send it back; sentinels salute from their post), hold a pinch on one to pet it, click a stick to switch the whole crew between STAY and PATROL.
- Graphics pass: per-type materials, eye glints, hydraulic and reactor glow, wake shockwave rings, drone altitude shadows, richer lighting and color grade. New synthesized sound presets (chirps, servos, stomps, happy arpeggios). Four quality settings kept.
- Signed to install over v0.1. Compiled and verified locally; Quest visuals and gameplay still need a headset test.
Room Bots v0.1
- Scanned walls, frames and furniture become stylized robots that wake when poked by hand or controller.
- When scene data is unavailable, a three-robot floor-level demo appears instead. Four graphics-quality settings.
Reef Tank v0.2
- 25 available species now swim in mixed-species tanks, with schooling and slower bottom-dweller behavior. Choose the featured fish with left grip. Three switchable aquascapes: planted driftwood, branching coral, and a stone arch with anemones (left thumbstick click).
- Touch or feed to make a visible ripple ring; denser bubbles, more varied substrate, softer caustics and light shafts on higher settings. Four saved graphic settings: Low, Medium, High (default), Extra High (more demanding); older settings migrate to their matching visual level.
- Fixed nearest-flake feeding, scanned-floor fallback height and bounds, stale inactive controller values, session pause timing and swapchain error handling. Room scan/permission and headset behavior still need on-device testing. Place on a real table only if the scan finds a suitable plane; otherwise placement is floor-level fallback, not precise alignment.
- Stylized procedural art, not a photoreal fluid or fish simulation. Light spill is artistic, not a real-room lighting effect. Same signing key and app data; install over v0.1 without uninstalling.
